The photograph

Nearly every photograph works. If yours won’t make a beautiful portrait, our studio will reach out with guidance before we begin.

This is a gift

A proof of your artwork is emailed within 48 hours for approval — revisions included, always complimentary.

A modern portrait of one pet, drawn for the home you share.

The familiar tilt of an ear. The look that always gets your attention. The Heirloom Portrait turns one photograph into a restrained, deeply personal piece for your walls. Choose the size, frame, background, and whether to include a name; then approve the artwork before it is made.

  • One pet
  • Choice of quiet studio backgrounds
  • Optional name
  • Portrait or close crop
  • Available framed or unframed
  • Proof before production

The portrait that belongs with the family photographs.

Quiet enough for the room. Specific enough to be unmistakably theirs. The composition is kept simple so expression, posture, and the small details you know by heart remain the center of the piece.

Your photograph starts the piece. A real proof finishes it. We check the image, create your artwork, and email a proof before production. Ask for refinements until the expression feels right; nothing is made until you approve.

Choose a clear, well-lit photograph taken near your pet’s eye level. Ears, face, neck, and chest should be visible when possible. If the image will not produce a beautiful result, the studio will contact you before drawing begins.

There are apps that turn photographs into cartoons in seconds. This is not that. Each Heirloom Portrait is illustrated by a working artist, printed as giclée on archival paper, and framed in solid wood — a piece made to hang beside everything else you’ve chosen carefully.

Questions

About your commission

What makes a good photograph?

Natural light, taken at your dog’s eye level, with the face clearly visible. Outdoor shade is ideal. If the photo won’t make a beautiful portrait, our studio will reach out with guidance before we begin.

Can you include more than one pet?

Yes — portraits of two or three companions are available. Upload your best photograph of each, and our artists will compose them together naturally.

What if I don’t like the proof?

Then we haven’t finished. Revisions are unlimited and complimentary, and nothing is printed until you approve it. If we can’t get it right, you’re fully refunded.

Do you make memorial portraits?

We do, and we treat them with particular care. Any photograph — however old or imperfect — is welcome. Our artists will do it justice.

How is it shipped?

Framed, protected in archival wrap, and boxed to survive any courier. Hanging hardware is already fitted.
